A little belatedly, we announce a new review from Hugh and Mark on karrikin perception and signalling, published in Journal of Experimental Botany. It takes a focussed look on the ligand perception mechanism, from a structural biology perspective. As you can infer from the title, there’s still a lot we don’t understand!
Always happy to get fresh blood into the lab, this time we welcome Andy as an Honours student for 2020. He brings with him much-needed skills in computer science which he will use in the analysis of Karrikins responsive promoters during his research project.
As of Friday 26 July, Perth protein researchers now have a dedicated special interest group – PPG!
